- The Nocturne is tailored without canvas at the shoulder, so it sits on the body rather than above it. The lapel runs low to a single button, which opens the chest and lengthens the line.
- Made in a run of two hundred, in a wool that reads black until it meets light.

The making of it
Tailoring without armour
Classic tailoring builds structure into the shoulder. We took it out. What holds the Nocturne together is the cloth and the pattern — a slightly extended shoulder point, a high armhole and a back seam shaped through the blade. It is less protective and far more comfortable.
