Description
- The Atelier is the piece the studio returns to each autumn. Cut from a double-faced wool that needs no lining, it holds a straight line from shoulder to hem and softens with wear rather than losing shape.
- Seams are bound by hand at the facings, which is why the inside looks very much like the outside. It is intended to be worn open, sleeves pushed, over almost everything else in the wardrobe.

The making of it
Made to be worn open
We drafted the Atelier around a single measurement — the distance from the shoulder point to the wrist when the arm is relaxed. Everything else followed: the drop of the armhole, the width through the body, the weight of the cloth. The result is a coat that reads as tailored but moves like a cardigan.
