Four garments we remake every season without redesigning them. They are the constants of the wardrobe — the coat, the knit, the tee, the thing you reach for without deciding.
The story
The pieces everything else is built around
An essential is not a basic. A basic is what is left when everything interesting has been removed; an essential is what remains useful after everything else has been tried. The difference is years, not intention.
These pieces have been in production since the studio opened. The patterns have been adjusted — a centimetre at the shoulder, a slightly heavier cloth — but never restarted. When a fabric mill discontinues a yarn we go looking for its equal rather than changing the design.
We keep this edit deliberately small. If a piece has not been worn by someone in the studio for two seasons running, it comes out.
