Description
- Thrown on the wheel in a small pottery in Somerset and glazed in an ash white that pools slightly at the shoulder. Each one is a little different, which is the nature of the glaze.
- One litre, comfortable to pour with one hand.

The making of it
A glaze that will not repeat
Ash glazes are made from wood ash and are notoriously difficult to control — the same batch fired twice will not give the same surface. We accept the variation because the alternative is uniformity, and uniformity is not what a hand-thrown object is for.
